The Yoghurt Shop (TYS) is a proudly Australian-owned company committed to producing delicious yoghurt, and we rely on our Food Technologist to ensure the highest standards of product quality, safety, and innovation across our processes.
Your new role
Reporting to the Quality Manager, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of food safety and quality management systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards
Assist in monitoring, analysing and reporting on quality performance, including non-conformances, complaints and corrective actions
Contribute to the development, review and implementation of food safety, quality policies and standard operating procedures
Support training and knowledge sharing in food safety, quality and GMP across production teams
Participate in internal audits, inspections and quality assurance activities
Provide technical support across the production process to ensure product quality, safety and consistency
Contribute to new product development and continuous improvement initiatives
Assist in setting and maintaining quality standards and technical specifications for raw materials, packaging and finished goods
Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and other departments to support business objectives
Maintain professional working relationships and uphold safe, compliant and respectful workplace behaviours
What you'll need to succeed:
Tertiary education (Bachelor level) in Food technology or relevant field
Employment: min 1 year of work experience in the relevant field
Strong knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements
Demonstrated experience and proficiency in reviewing and developing SOPs
Experience with audit processes and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
Good analytical skills to monitor and interpret quality KPIs
Organisation and administration skills
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
You must have valid work rights in Australia and be able to provide two professional references of seniority.
