Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Currency Exchange cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to buy and sell foreign currencies, handle cash and operate a POS system effectively. A background working in a bank or currency exchange is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Buy and sell foreign currencies in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
Verify and authenticate banknotes for genuineness and condition.
Provide customers with up-to-date exchange rates and assist with inquiries.
Maintain accurate transaction records and balance the till at the end of each shift.
Follow compliance protocols and recordkeeping .
Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of integrity.
Support the team with general administrative or operational duties as needed.
Qualifications
Previous experience in cash handling, retail, or banking is an asset.
Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, accuracy-driven environment.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Knowledge of foreign currencies or financial services is an advantage (training provided).
