The role:
As our South Island team continues to secure exciting projects, we are now looking for an experienced Foreman to join our team.
With a diverse portfolio of projects in the region we can help you to grow and develop your career. We are currently working on small to medium scale commercial projects where you will become a critical part of the team and you will get the mentoring and training of our senior staff.
We are looking for:
Candidates will have proven commercial construction carpentry/ working foreman experience and have a successful performance record of leading site teams and delivering excellence on projects. Importantly, you will have a solid understanding of NZ building regulations and standards and construction methodologies and a passion for HSE and providing strong leadership.
Experience working for a main contractor which has given you exposure to working on a variety of projects that have been running concurrently will make you stand out from other applicants. You'll have strong technical capability and credibility across the industry.
A minimum of 2 - 4 years' experience as a working foreman ideally with a main contractor
Exposure to working on a range of construction projects from $5m+, with a successful performance record of running site teams/subcontractors and delivery excellence on projects
Solid understanding of relevant legislation and industry compliance standards
Solid knowledge of construction methodologies
Passion for health & safety and providing strong leadership and enforcement of company policies and procedures
Strong people and leadership skills with the ability to manage complex relationships with multiple stakeholders using positive means.
