Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver
The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse environment and due to the varied, demanding nature of the role, candidates must be physically fit. This will be to join a close-knit, well-established team and is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to grow within a company.
Pay Rate: £12.60
Benefits: Company pension, death in service, employee assist programme, free parking, sociable working hours, performance bonus, staff discounts, company workwear and all PPE.
Location: Sherburn in Elmet – LS25
Job Type: Temp-perm
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday (weekly alternating shifts) 06:00-14:30 / 14:30- 22:00 (40Hours)
The Role
• Responsibility for hygiene within the warehouse, ensuring a clean and safe work environment is maintained
• Unloading of deliveries, checking condition of goods received.
• Storing goods in correct locations ready for picking in good condition.
• Record batch codes & best before dates as part of the booking in process.
• Replenish stock creating pallet spaces & record movement.
• Preparing orders for customer collections throughout the day.
• Lifting at height using reach trucks and safety ladders.
• Adhering to all health and safety rules and food regulations.
• Order picking via pick notes from ambient, chilled and frozen locations which is the main duty on the late shift
The Candidate
• Accredited reach or counterbalance license, dated within 5 years.
• A bendi/flexi license is desirable, but not essential.
• Due to the location of the site and shift times, own means of transport is necessary.
