Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift training program within the first 30 days of employment
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of six months of warehouse experience
At least six months of forklift operation experience
Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions
Working knowledge of warehouse management system equipment
Must be detail-oriented and a team player
Responsibilities
As a Forklift Logistics Specialist at DHL, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of stock within our warehouse environment
You’ll handle loading, unloading, and transporting shipments of various sizes, using equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks
Efficient Stock Movement: Operate forklifts and other power equipment to load, unload, and move stock and stage products and materials for 80% of your shifts
Shipment Preparation: Accurately pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records and reports for inventory accuracy
Safety Compliance: Follow all OSHA and MSDS standards to ensure a safe working environment
Load Verification: Verify load accuracy, check load count, stability, and product damage, and report any variances as necessary
Equipment Maintenance: Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources as needed
Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
Physical Inventories: Assist in physical inventories as required
Daily Equipment Inspection: Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations
