Forklift Operator Wanted | Valencia Engineered Hardwood Flooring Wholesale
About the Company:
Valencia is a wholesale distributor specializing in engineered hardwood flooring in the Metro Vancouver area. Our clients include local builders and renovation companies. Our team currently consists of two Chinese staff and one Caucasian coworker, and we maintain a positive, respectful, and friendly work environment. Job Responsibilities:
Forklift Operation & Order Fulfillment:Operate a forklift to load customer orders. Weekly shipping volume is low (typically under 10 orders). Small orders may require manual lifting. After shipments, loose items must be manually sorted and organized.
Sample Cutting & Organization:Prepare and organize flooring samples. Occasionally, custom-sized samples may be required — this is not a regular task.
New Sample Unloading (Occasional): When new sample bundles arrive with containers, they must be manually unloaded and organized. These bundles are heavy. This occurs at most once per month, and assistance will be provided. Occasional overtime may be required for this task only.
Job Requirements:
Experience operating a forklift
Physically capable of lifting flooring samples and small pallets
Basic English communication skills (able to speak with Caucasian coworkers and customers)
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
On rare occasions when customers request early pickup, the schedule will shift to 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM for that day
No regular overtime required, except when new sample shipments arrive (advance notice will be given)
