As part of our #OneLSI movement: We are looking for a Forklift Operator to support our team at our location in Alpharetta, GA.

Position Overview:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for driving forklift equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials.

Essential Job Functions:

Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials or hooks tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transports load to designated area.
Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
Inventories materials on work floor, and supplies workers with materials as needed.
Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
Lubricates equipment, recharges batteries, fills fuel tank, or replaces liquefied gas tank.
Observes safety and security procedures. Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines.
Reports potentially unsafe conditions.
Uses equipment and materials properly.
Follows policies and procedures and supports organization’s goals.
Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
Consistently at work and on time. Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.
Follows instructions; responds to management directions.
Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
Meets productivity standards. Strives to increase productivity.
Contributes to building a positive team spirit. Puts success of team above own interests. Supports everyone’s efforts to succeed.
Minimum Qualifications:

Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software.
Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Obtain and/or maintain Forklift Certification.

Monday through Thursday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
