About the Job:
The electroencephalographic (EKG) Tech uses specialized equipment to locate brain abnormalities. Works under the supervision of a physician.
What You’ll Do:
• Evaluate patient to determine the appropriate approach to an EKG procedure.
• Screen for contraindications to elements of EKG including hyperventilation, photic stimulation, or other special needs.
• Maintain a knowledge base of scientific and mathematical principles underlying EKG technology.
• Perform the procedure for recording EKG.
Who You Are:
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Cardiac Devices is required.
• Completion of an approved AMA training program or on-the-job training with documentation.
• Certifications: Current BLS/CPR training.
• Epic experience, is a plus!
