Who we are
Cell Bauhaus is creating virtual cell technology to accelerate the discovery of sustainable solutions to the worlds most pressing problems. We integrate mechanistic modelling and machine learning to build predictive cell models that enable rational design of interventions that give cells new and desired functionalities. Whether it’s getting microbes to produce sustainable bio-molecules or reprogramming cells to respond to treatments - we are bringing rational engineering and design principals to biology to enable scalable solutions for planetary and human health.
Our work is part-funded by the Gates Foundation under the Accelerator Program whose goal is to conceive, design, test, and prepare the ecosystem for fundamentally novel platform technologies with breakthrough potential.
Role
We're looking for someone to work directly alongside our two co-founders in a broad, high-trust role that changes with the needs of the company. You'd sit across both the science and the strategy, helping to shape how we operate, grow, and communicate as an early-stage team. The work spans strategic projects and daily logistics, and both matter equally. Flexible Working Arrangements

We are based in Melbourne and we follow a hybrid model where team members come into the office three days per week. This structure helps us maintain strong connections while still offering the benefits of remote work.
