This Is Not a Typical Cloud Job. Cloudoku AI is working on solving a complex problem: Reducing Cloud & AI inference costs by 30–60% for AI-native startups and high-growth companies. We operate at the intersection of LLM systems, GPU economics, cloud pricing models, FinOps for AI, and architecture-level optimization.
About the Role
We are looking for a high-caliber Cloud & AI Architect who understands not just infrastructure — but the economics of AI systems. You will work directly with the founder to diagnose inefficiencies, quantify waste, design optimization roadmaps, and support high-stakes technical sales conversations.
Responsibilities
- Deep Technical Discovery
- Analyze AI inference architectures
- Break down GPU utilization and throughput
- Identify token inefficiencies
- Evaluate RAG and model-routing strategies
- Map architecture decisions to cost drivers
- - Engineer Cost Reduction Strategy
- Model-Level:
- Quantization
- Distillation
- Model compression
- Latency vs cost tradeoffs
- - Infrastructure-Level:
- Autoscaling design
- Batching systems
- GPU scheduling
- Container orchestration optimization
- - Architecture-Level:
- Model routing
- Hybrid hosted + self-hosted strategies
- Caching
- Prompt compression
- Token budgeting
- - - Convert Technical Insight → Business Impact
- Build cost models
- Estimate savings percentages
- Present ROI to CTOs and founders
- Support deal closure

Qualifications
- IIT / top-tier engineering graduate preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ years in Cloud + AI systems
- Experience with production ML/LLM systems
- Deep familiarity with AWS / Azure / GCP pricing models
- Strong understanding of GPU economics and token-based pricing
- Experience with Kubernetes & containerized AI workloads
- Knowledge of FinOps principles for AI workloads
