FPGA Programmer

Major Job Duties

Ø Develop FPGA systems by designing the architecture, coding, simulating, and testing.

Ø Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve FPGA-related issues across processes and projects.

Ø Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and maintain documentation of FPGA designs and projects.

Ø Implement and verify high-performance and reliable FPGA designs.

Ø Incorporate DSP technology into next-generation video products.

Ø Work in a System Verilog/UVM environment platform and be responsible for generating an FPGA verification plan, a verification matrix, and coming up with verification environments for test and verification of flight FPGA code/modules

Ø Designs and implements ARM AXI switches and DMAs between the processor and the FPGA subsystems

Ø Works closely with the RF team to provide LTE test waveforms to RFIC, PAs, and receivers

Ø Requirements capture, ASIC / FPGA digital architecture and design using RTL, timing analysis and closure, verification, and system integration

Ø Document development by writing documents, reports, memos, and change requests

We are looking for people who have

Ø Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field

Ø Minimum 3 years of experience in FPGA Design & Development.

Ø Proficiency in hardware description languages (HDLs), such as Verilog or VHDL.

Ø Familiarity with electronics design tools (such as Orcad and or Altium) an asset

Ø Experience with Xilinx FPGAs, DSP, and software-defined radios is a plus

Ø Knowledge of FPGA-based system architectures, including memory interfaces and communication protocols

Ø Strong understanding of digital design principles and techniques.

Ø Knowledge of RTL (register transfer level) hardware design flow and methodology with low-level programming skills in ARM assembly and C.

Ø Working with Xilinx/RVDS/DS-5 SoC ARM-based devices/block memory module capabilities in FPGAs.

Ø Communication protocols such as PCI, PCIe, DDR2/DDR3, I2S, DRAM, and DMA.

Ø Experience mapping algorithms and standards (PCIe, NVMe, SATA, USB, Ethernet, TCP/IP, TCP/IP offload engine (TOE), SERDES, LVDS, and Memory Controllers – DDR2/DDR3 ) to hardware and architecture/system design tradeoffs

Ø Strong knowledge in microprocessor environment development

Ø Scripts Perl y TCL

Ø Be the technical expert on SSD technologies and PCIe interfaces
