We are looking to hire an experienced, skilled renovation framer/carpenter who also has the knowledge and ability to oversee projects. We want a team player who is ready to take on responsibilities and grow with the company. Description : Primary duties will be framing. Other duties can be installing windows, building stairs, siding, interior trim, decks. Most of our projects you will do the demo and the framing. While on site you may be responsible for organizing and coordinating other trades. On smaller projects we take on more of the work. Experience Must have extensive renovation framing experience with a minimum of 5 years in the residential industry. Experience in a supervisory role will be an asset. Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements Primary Responsibilities : Maintain clean and safe job sites. Promote safe work practices at all times and ensure adherence to all company safety policies. Provide site supervision support in instances where there are multiple active sites. Read and interpret blueprints and execute construction as per specifications. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner. Organize and direct sub trades on site. Anticipate and organize resources for next days work. Represent company as a safety minded, professional, with a strong commitment to meeting and exceeding project goals. Specific Skills Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Window Installation ( Flashing, Installation, Drip Edges & Exterior Trim ) Ability to read plans & communicate onsite discrepancies. Ability to interact with clients in a professional and polite manner. Full understanding of framing techniques, standard practices & building code requirements.
