Job Title: Operational Controls Framework Assistant Vice President – NFRM Framework
Location: Mumbai
Role Description
Non-Financial (or Operational) Risk Control Framework aims to identify, monitor, assure and assess the effectiveness of its Key Controls and is vital for Deutsche Bank’s management of its Operational risks. The Framework enables insight into Key Controls that are effective in mitigating risk, those that are ineffective, and where there are Control gaps Control Assurance provides Senior Management with evidence that Key Controls are adequately designed and operating effectively and allows management to respond where the Key Controls are not managing the risk sufficiently.

Your Key Responsibilities
• Development and oversight of Controls Framework
• Consider inter-dependencies with / and impact on related Framework components.
• Consider feedback from various stakeholders (e.g., Business, 2LoDs, Regulators, Audit) to develop and design Minimum Standards for Controls Framework
• Perform impact analysis of potential design changes.
• Liaising with key stakeholders to socialise design changes.
• Support preparation of slide decks for training and help conduct training.
• Regular attendance at scheduled meetings and conferences, e.g., presentations of work results to senior decision-makers/workgroups, partly also processing of meetings and telephone conferences (agenda, keeping the minutes)
• Support with urgent activities at short notice
• Cooperation with projects within the scope of Controls Framework
• Exchange of specialist information with colleagues, e.g., by means of presentations / micro-training.
• Support the overall agenda of NFRM Framework and its related activities.
• Other activities including regular governance and connect with relevant stakeholders etc
Your Skills And Experience
Education and Experience:
• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in banking, finance, economics or business administration is desirable.
• More than seven years of relevant professional work experience
• Professional experience in Operational Risk, Internal audit, Capital Computation, Governance would be an advantage.
• Experience with Controls Framework (designing and / or implementation) is a plus.
• Experience in working with teams spanning multiple geographical locations.
• Experience in the preparation of presentations for senior management
• Experience in business analysis and/or project management would be an advantage.
• Experience with managing various stakeholders, deadlines and adhering to regulatory/audit requirements would be an advantage.

• Willingness to learn and acquire deep subject-matter / technical expertise.
• Ability to prepare, participate/lead and document discussions & build relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to engage, present and understand the requirements of senior management / stakeholders.
• Very good eye for detail, numerically literate and accurate with numbers
• Ability to work as part of an international team, but also self-reliant.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English along with project management
• Very good knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
