What you’ll do
Reporting to the Store Loss Insights Manager, the Fraud Insights Lead is a pivotal role within the Store Loss team, primarily responsible for leveraging data and technology to identify and mitigate internal and external fraud. To support the business in identifying coaching opportunities and internal/external dishonesty by utilizing advanced technology and data systems. This role packages actionable insights for investigation and store management to drive performance conversations and profit protection.
Identify New Fraud Behaviors: Proactively research and identify emerging fraud patterns and behaviors within the store environment.
AI Implementation: Leverage AI-driven methodologies to automate the detection of suspicious activities and improve the accuracy of fraud alerts.
Data Engineering: Work within the GCP (Google Cloud Platform) to develop and manage new datasets and create sophisticated rules for real-time fraud monitoring.
System Validation: Use multiple systems to validate fraudulent behaviors and quantify their impact on profit, packaging these findings for formal investigations like CCTV, POS,R10 etc.
Collaboration: Drive the overarching fraud prevention strategy by collaborating with internal and external partners to identify and fix systemic loopholes.
Stakeholder Engagement: Partner across Store Support, State Operations, and Project teams to embed collaborative initiatives and incident reduction processes.
Loss Priorities: Contribute to the development of strategic Loss priorities and support the monitoring of controls to prevent incident recurrence
Coaching & Training: Upskill store managers to conduct effective investigations and lead team member performance conversations.
Customer First: Ensure all planning and prioritisation focus on the customer while keeping processes simple and unambiguous for store teams.
What you’ll bring
Deep understanding of internal and external fraud, retail processes and supplier mechanics
Experience creating rules and datasets within Google Cloud Platform
Practical experience applying AI technologies to solve business problems
Proficient in Scan Assist, Auror, March Networks (CCTV), and store front-end systems (1 POS, Store Central, Retalix, Scan & Go)
Proficiency in Google Suite, knowledge of Sheets, Docs and Drive
High-level negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to gain stakeholder agreement on complex decisions
