Looking for reliable writers to write a minimum of 2 breaking news articles every morning. Our approach is simple enough;
1) Find trending news articles from across the web (using tools provided) published in the last 12-24 hours to use as inspiration
2) Write your own article using inspiration from the article you found.
3) Quick edit of your article, then click Publish!
Breaking News Writer Duties:
Create, Write, Review and proofread written materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity
Ensure that all content adheres to established style guidelines
Fact-check information to ensure accuracy and credibility
Edit and revise content as necessary to improve readability and flow
Select high quality images
Publish content on CMS
Skills:
Strong proficiency in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style guidelines
Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot errors or inconsistencies
Proficient in using proofreading tools and software
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Knowledge of journalism, copywriting, technical writing, proposal writing, creative writing, and fact-checking techniques
Ability to edit and revise content while maintaining the original intent
Important Note:
Only looking for candidates who have consistent availability on weekends to write at least 2 articles per day.
Unlike some freelance opportunities, we more than welcome strong writers who want more work - 4 per day, 5 per day - as long as you are consistent in your production and availability, we can guarantee that we will always be willing to give you more work. Weekend availability is a must but if you are interested in writing Monday-Friday also, that is always welcome.
