Position: Freelance Senior SAP Data Consultant – LWM (Logistics/Warehouse/Manufacturing)

Role Description
We are seeking a Senior SAP Data Consultant to lead LWM data preparation, enrichment, and migration for a high-impact SAP implementation project at General Motors (GM). This role demands a hands-on expert who brings both technical depth and data governance knowledge to support successful SAP deployment and long-term data reliability.
You will work closely with the LWM Value Stream team , ETO SAP Data Team , and subject matter experts to ensure clean, trusted, and complete data throughout the migration and post-go-live phases.
Key Responsibilities
Lead LWM data preparation and enrichment across the SAP implementation lifecycle
Construct and transform SAP ERP LWM data objects by managing extractions, validations, and gap analysis
Design and enforce data governance controls, policies, and data quality processes
Map, validate, and support migration of LWM master and transactional data
Coordinate and support data validation, trial loads, and UAT with business stakeholders
Mitigate LWM data quality risks by aligning with enterprise standards
Lead data domain testing, issue resolution, and corrective actions post-cutover
Provide strategic guidance on best practices, architecture, and process improvement for LWM data
Serve as a data SME across functional areas, promoting effective governance and communication
Support and guide data contributors, analysts, and project team members
Participate in and support Jira-based agile tracking and workflow management

Skills & Qualifications
SAP Data Experience :
Hands-on experience with SAP data migration and governance , especially within LWM (Logistics, Warehouse, Manufacturing) domains
S/4
HANA preferred (ECC also acceptable)
10+ years overall SAP experience across multiple environments
Proven success in data governance, data standards, data quality management
Hands-on contributor (75%) with strategic advisory capabilities (25%)
Strong experience with master data and transactional data related to LWM
Comfortable with ARIS for process mapping (Visio acceptable as a secondary tool)
Familiarity with Jira for task tracking and collaboration
Soft Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (high EQ)
Ability to translate complex data concepts to business users
Proactive mindset – anticipates issues and drives problem-solving independently
High accountability and team orientation – supports momentum and positivity
Execution-focused – brings practical experience, not just theory
