Location: Bangalore, Indiranagar (Bangalore-based candidates preferred for occasional in-person meetings, but remote candidates will also be considered)
About Us
We are a game development studio based in Bangalore, creating an exciting mobile extraction shooter game and several AI-based games. We're looking for a talented video editor to help us create compelling content for our social media platforms and YouTube channel to showcase our game development journey and engage with our audience.
Role Overview
We're seeking a skilled video editor who can create both short-form and long-form video content. The ideal candidate will have experience with gaming content, startup journey documentation, and creating engaging social media videos that drive audience growth and engagement.
Responsibilities
• Create high-quality short-form videos ( up to 60 seconds) for TikTok/Instagram/YouTube Shorts and (up to 15 minutes) for LinkedIn, that showcase content on game development and company culture
• Edit long-form documentary-style videos (over 60 minutes minutes) for YouTube highlighting our startup journey, game development process, and day-in-the-life content
• Develop a consistent visual style that aligns with our brand identity
• Collaborate with our team to understand content requirements and implement creative direction
• Manage video projects from concept to final delivery with minimal supervision
• Meet project deadlines and quality standards consistently
Requirements
• 2+ years of professional video editing experience
• Portfolio demonstrating experience with both short-form social media content and long-form documentary-style videos
• Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.)
• Strong understanding of editing techniques, visual storytelling, pacing, and sound design
• Experience with gaming content or understanding of the gaming industry is highly preferred
• Familiarity with current social media trends and platform-specific content requirements
• Ability to work independently and adapt to feedback quickly
• Strong time management and communication skills
Nice To Have
• Experience with startup or tech industry content creation
• Knowledge of mobile game development
• Motion graphics skills
• Sound design experience
• Understanding of YouTube algorithm and optimization strategies
• Previous work with content similar to WTF YouTube channel and Product Growth YouTube channel
Interview Process
• First round: HR Screening & Intro Call (30 mins)

• Second round: Assignment
