French Translator/Copywriter- Hybrid- Little Burgundy
Reporting to the Ecommerce Director, the candidate will primarily oversee French translations for Journeys Canada and Little Burgundy websites, along with managing any additional translation needs. In addition to translation, the role will involve writing copy for Little Burgundy, including newsletters, digital ads, product descriptions, and other digital marketing materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide French translations for product descriptions of all seasonal products for Journeys.ca and Little Burgundy
Provide French translations for website banners and any other digital marketing push for Journeys.ca
Provide French translations for newsletters and SMS for Journeys.ca and Little Burgundy
Provide French translations for all content related to our loyalty programs: All Access and LB Club.
Responsible of French translations for our blog and ads campaigns
Ensure merchandising of French products on Journeys.ca
Provide support to the Journeys ecommerce team for all French-related website requests.
Write and upload French keywords and meta tags for Journeys.ca to support SEO efforts.
Manage freelance translator workflow if needed
Any other translations and copywriting requests
QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent English communication skills both written and spoken
Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in translation and copywriting.
2 years of experience in translation, digital marketing or retail is considered an asset
Flexible and able to work with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Well organized and extremely detail-oriented
Team player who works well with others
Proficient in Excel with strong analytical skills
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy in translation and content creation.
Creative writing and SEO knowledge is considered as an asset
