Required Candidate profile
Essential skills and expertise:
Who is experienced in conducting grading of diamonds in a laboratory
Operational knowledge on computers, Microscopes and other instruments used for grading.
Sound knowledge of diamond symmetry and clarity characteristics
Graduate in Diamond grading or gemstones is essential.
Graduate Diamond grading /Gemologist diploma preferred.
GIA G.G. or FGA or equivalent candidates preferred
Extreme attention to detail
Ability to work well both independently and in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Observe assess and document the 4Cs of a diamond.
To judge the quality and characteristics of a diamond.
To operate various grading instruments
Determine ,review and improve laboratory's quality and work processes
To estimate the quality of a diamond and its market value.
Keep abreast of latest gemological information within the industry.
Assign preliminary conclusions to gemstone grading reports
Input gemstone identification information in information system.
Examine gem surfaces internal structure, using microscope and
