Responsibilities
Assist in preparing baked goods and other food items according to recipes and quality standards
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for customer transactions and cash handling
Provide friendly and efficient customer service, including serving customers and answering inquiries
Manage cashiering duties with accuracy and attention to detail
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, adhering to food safety standards
Restock supplies and ensure the bakery displays are attractive and organized
Upsell bakery products to enhance sales and customer satisfaction
Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed
Ensure all food handling procedures comply with sanitation and safety regulations
Skills
Experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environments preferred
Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient cashiering
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively during busy periods
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Kitchen experience or background in the food industry is a plus
Ability to upsell products naturally to increase sales opportunities
