Job Description
The Front Desk Agent serves as the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service. This role includes checking guests in and out, handling reservations, addressing inquiries, and resolving complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests with a warm and professional demeanor.
Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently using the hotel’s property management system (PMS).
Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately.
Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly or escalate when necessary.
Answer incoming calls, emails, and provide information about the hotel, services, and local attractions.
Process payments including cash, credit card, and room charges securely.
Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area.
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure room readiness.
Monitor security of the building and report any suspicious activity.
Provide personalized services to guests such as wake-up calls, directions, or transportation arrangements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification or coursework is a plus.
Prior experience in a front desk, customer service, or hospitality role preferred.
Proficient with MS Office and hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Maestro, or similar).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and courtesy.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $1+.11-$1+.38 per hour
