Church Street Hotel and Peckham Rooms Hotel are independent boutique hotels in vibrant Camberwell and Peckham. With Latin sensuality and a lick of and Africa cool we represent the diversity and family spirit of our special neighbourhood.
We require a committed Receptionist to join our team to work between both hotels. The ideal candidate will be honest, confident, courteous and reliable with a strong sense of responsibility. They will have a natural affinity in delivering an outstanding customer service experience and be flexible in applying themselves to various shift patterns and roles.
Hours approx 40 hours per week
An example of possible shift patterns are as follows 7am-3 pm, 3pm-11pm, with the possibility of emergency night shift cover if the need arises 11pm-7am
Requirement Experience
Ideally have a minimum 1 year previous reception/front of house experience in a quality establishment. That said, a candidate with the right aptitude for the position will be considered.
Must haves:
· Eligibility to work in the UK
· Good command of English, written and spoken
· Be flexible in working and covering shifts during the day with the ability to take on emergency night cover if it arose.
· Have the appetite to take on a shifts at short notice in an emergency.
· Strong multi-tasking ability
· Have a smart, and clean appearance with good personal hygiene.
· A Passion for customer service/hospitality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ideally lives locally to SE5 & SE15
Main Duties
As a Front of house Reception you will be the ‘face’ of the business, meeting and greeting guests while representing our core values, such as, professionalism, honesty, integrity, responsibility, accountability, comradery and inclusivity. This is a varied multi-tasking role but some of your duties and responsibilities will include;
· Checking in/out guests, answering emails, phone calls, using hotel software and office suite software such as excel/word.
· Accurately process guest billing and admin during your shift.
· Help setup and clean down breakfast items when required.
· Help housekeeping with carrying linen to storage if need be.
· Be able to efficiently execute tasks as instructed by your Manager
· Be able to work autonomously, taking the initiative when need be while still being able to work cohesively as a part of a team.
· Radiate our core values in your relations with your Team and Guests alike
· Ensure a warm and welcoming environment is maintained at all times.
· Ensure concise handovers and articulate communication with your team members.
· Be responsible and accountable for all tasks undertaken.
· Display a strong commitment to Hotel Policies and operating procedures
· Supervising tasks and reporting directly to the manager
