Responsibilities
The primary role of the Front-End JavaScript React Developer is to work in a team of engineers to deliver user interfaces, such as control panels, dashboards, websites, or web applications, within larger software applications. The position has the following responsibilities:
• Prepare prototypes based on UI/UX wireframes, designs, markups, and styling for approval from senior engineers and/or clients
• Develop, test, document, deploy, operate and/or maintain front-end JavaScript web applications
• Work to ensure well-executed data governance and compliance with data privacy and security standards as required
• Implement application monitoring functionality to gather feedback to improve application reliability and performance
• Working with mobile application developers, when needed, to standardise user experiences across platforms
Knowledge and Technical Skill Requirements
Mandatory
• Proficiency at an advanced level in working with JavaScript, React, Redux, Express, Node, NVM/NPM, HTML5, CSS, SASS/SCSS, Twitter Bootstrap, WebSocket, and NGINX
• Proficiency in integrating front-end applications with data platforms and back-end REST APIs
Preferred
• Working knowledge of server-side rendering or static generation processes with Next
• Working knowledge of gRPC, asynchronous request handling and partial page updates
• Working knowledge of React Native and mobile application development
Experience And Qualification Requirements
• Degree or certification in a mathematical, scientific, engineering, or associated interdisciplinary field or equivalent experience
• 2 years of professional front-end development experience with React and JavaScript
