What You'll Do
We’re looking for team players that want to work as a team to deliver awesome product goals. You will be:
• Developing applications using Lightning framework
• Creating tests both from a unit and end-to-end perspective with Jest, Selenium or Cypress
• Own all phases of software development from ideation to release
• Hold technical discussions with product owners and designers
• Proactively monitoring the performance and health of the software that has been shipped, proactively addressing any issues that arise
What You'll Bring
As part of a cross-functional team that designs, develops, tests and ships new features, you must have:
• Be highly proficient in JavaScript or Typescript
• It would be highly desirable to have experience with Lightning framework, preferably in Lightning 3
• An agile mindset
• You will be well versed in design patterns, software engineering principles, frameworks and technologies
• Experienced in Object-orientated programming in ES6 and/or TypeScript
• Experience developing for platforms where code optimisation is essential, e.g. TVs, mobile phones, gaming or embedded devices
• A BDD and/or TDD approach to writing software (Cucumber, Jasmin, Jest, Cypress)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Gitlab/Concourse)
• A Team player with great listening and nurturing skills
• Committed to delivering high-quality software solutions
Team Overview
We are the team responsible for delivering Sky Sports on Sky TV products. We have a TV app to show all the sport that doesn’t fit onto the channels. The traction that this TV app is getting is growing and we are looking for an engineer to help drive that growth into the future. The potential is endless.
