Our client is a Canadian residential mortgage lender delivering digital lending solutions to mortgage brokers and their clients nationwide. Our client is seeking a Front End UI/UX Developer to own and evolve the user experience across its digital lending platforms. This is a hands-on role for an experienced Angular developer who combines strong front-end engineering expertise, UX sensibility, and architectural thinking to build scalable, intuitive, and secure user interfaces on top of a .NET-based backend. You will help establish front-end standards, guide design, influence platform decisions, and work closely with product and backend teams to deliver experiences that simplify complex financial workflows and support high-quality fintech solutions.
The Opportunity
You will shape how customers, brokers, and internal teams experience our lending technologies. You will influence how workflows feel, how information is presented, and how users move through critical financial journeys, balancing usability, performance, scalability, regulatory considerations, while ensuring seamless integration with a modern .NET / API-driven backend.
You’ll work on greenfield features, improve existing experiences, and help establish front-end patterns and standards as the platform scales. This role offers ownership, technical influence, fast feedback loops, and seeing your work used in the real world.
Who You’ll Work With
You will collaborate closely with:
Product Managers and Business Analysts defining user journeys and requirements
Backend engineers and architects building .NET APIs and services
QA and delivery team members within Agile squads
Compliance, risk, and operations stakeholders to ensure usability aligns with regulatory needs
You will act as a technical expert and front-end (UI/UX) authority across teams.
What You’ll Do
Lead the design and development of modern, responsive, accessible, and high-quality user interfaces for front-end applications
Translate UX designs, wireframes, and user stories/business requirements into clean, scalable, maintainable front-end solutions
Define and evolve front-end architecture, coding standards, and best practices
Build and maintain reusable UI components, shared libraries and contribute to a shared design system
Translate UX designs, wireframes, and business requirements into scalable Angular solutions
Collaborate closely with backend teams to integrate RESTful APIs built on .NET and optimize data flows
Collaborate with product and design partners to refine user experiences and workflows
Ensure consistency across the platform through reusable components and design systems
Ensure high optimized standards for performance, accessibility (WCAG), security, usability, and cross-browser compatibility
Integrate front-end components with backend APIs and services
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to delivery planning and estimation
Support testing and release activities including production readiness and defect triage
Adapt quickly as priorities evolve, balancing speed with structure
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
4+ years of experience in front-end development for web applications
Strong experience with modern frameworks such as Angular (preferred), React
Advanced knowledge of TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript
Solid understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and accessibility standards (WCAG)
Proven experience building scalable UI architectures and component libraries
Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with asynchronous data, ideally with a .NET backend
Experience with state management (e.g., NgRx, RxJS patterns)
Strong experience with Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows
Experience in collaborating and prototyping UI designs with key stakeholders.
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
Exceptional organizational, time-management, and communication skills along with strong attention to detail and a user-first mindset
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Excellent written, communication and collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
Experience in financial services, preferably lending, mortgages, banking, or capital markets
Experience working in regulated environments, including risk, compliance, or audit considerations

Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
