Detailed Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
Experience: At least 1–2 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
Communication: Exceptional English communication skills. You must be able to explain menu items, handle special dietary requirements, and resolve guest concerns with grace.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with modern POS systems (e.g., Square, Lightspeed, or Revel) and the ability to handle cash and card transactions accurately.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stay on your feet for long shifts, move quickly between the kitchen and floor, and carry multiple plates or heavy trays.
Certifications: A current Victorian Responsible Service of ******* (RSA) certificate is mandatory.
Reliability: Strong punctuality and a flexible schedule. You must be available for a rotating roster that includes nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Team Mindset: A "no task is too small" attitude. You should be just as willing to polish glassware or wipe a table as you are to take a large group booking.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Management: Manage the floor flow, including greeting guests, managing waitlists, and coordinating takeaway orders.
Menu Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of our menu, including ingredients and potential allergens, to provide confident recommendations.
Quality Control: Ensure all beverages and dishes meet Koitoy’s presentation standards before they reach the table.
Venue Maintenance: Maintain a pristine dining environment, ensuring all stations are stocked and the floor is clean at all times.
Compliance: Adhere to all food safety standards and liquor licensing laws.
