Job Responsibilities of Receptionist:
· Greet clients and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude.
· Maintain workplace security by issuing, checking, and collecting documents as necessary and maintaining visitor logs.
· Managing telecommunications systems.
· Answering phones in a professional manner, and routing calls as necessary.
· Assisting colleagues with administrative tasks.
· Receiving, sorting, distributing and dispatching daily mail
· Preparing vouchers/ receipts
· Handling transcription, printing, and photocopying
· Managing office inventory such as stationery, equipment and furniture
· Overseeing office services like cleaners and maintenance service providers
Key skills for a receptionist:
Prior experience as a receptionist or in a related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good telephone communication etiquette.
Organized and resourceful.
Good time management skills.
Experience with administrative and clerical procedures.
Adept at prioritizing, scheduling and multitasking.
Ability to handle office equipment, such as the telephone system, and printer machine.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, and LibreOffice.
Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping out with various tasks as required.
Fast and eager learner.
