Purpose of Role:
We are looking for passionate problem solvers to join us and solve really challenging problems
and scale DealShare systems.
Reporting and location
Incumbent will be reporting into the Engineering Manager and will be based out of Bangalore Location
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• Implement the solution with minimal guidance after solutioning closure with senior engineers.
• Write code that has good low level design and is easy to understand, maintain, extend and test.
• End to end ownership of product/feature from development to production and fixing issues
• Ensure high unit, functional and integration automated test coverage. Ensure releases are stable.
• Communicate with various stakeholders (Product, QA, Senior Engineers) as necessary
• to ensure quality deliverables, smooth execution and launch.
• Key contributors to SDLC processes (code reviews, testing, CI/CD, etc), drive
• Improvement in processes to increase efficiency and reliability.
• Create and manage execution plans with respect to delivery commitments.
• Mentoring juniors in the team.
• Participate in code reviews, improve development and testing processes.
• Participate in hiring great engineers.
Skills & Competency:
• Hands-on experience on Android creating Native applications and using coroutines.
• Deep Knowledge of mobile application development with Kotlin. Strong debugging, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with OOPs and SOLID principles, MVP/MVVM/MVI architecture.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs integrations. Firebase, GSON, Retrofit/KTOR etc.
• Prior experience with CI/CD, Unit tests are preferred.
• Extremely good at problem solving, is a self thinker.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast paced timeline-driven environment.
• Good team player and ability to collaborate with others.
• Self driven and motivated, very high on ownership.
Candidate Profile:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent with at least 3 years of
experience in Android Native development.
Good to Have:
• Familiarity with Dependency injection (with Dagger/HILT), Jetpack compose, webview, multi module architecture and React Native will be a plus.
• Good familiarity & in-depth expertise with most of the Native built-in and popular third party frameworks and libraries.

A fast-growing e-commerce startup, DealShare is a hyperlocal online buying platform for multi-category consumer products focused on the new 'WhatsApp first' India. Our mission is to target the new 500Mn users from non-metro cities and rural market spaces who haven't shopped enough online and are uncomfortable on other platforms. These users are primarily on mobile & social media. DealShare makes it extremely easy for these users to buy in a couple of clicks, supported by vernacular browsing.
Further, it allows the users to share deals with their friends and avail discounts if their friends purchase the products via the share link. It is a new retail model in which customers get products at cheaper than wholesale rates. The idea is around demand aggregation (C2B) of mass-market products using social virality, thereby significantly reducing operational costs. Currently valued at $1.63 Bn, we are gearing up to explore International markets.
