We are a fast-growing textile and software development company that's revolutionizing the textile, garments, and software services industry.
We are looking for a strong front-end web designer/developer. We need a self-starter with sharp HTML, CSS, Nodejs, and Java Script skills. We're a fast-moving, start-up environment with new and exciting challenges around every corner. This is a Design and Development role; you should be comfortable doing both!
The frontend team is an integral part of the operations to support our missions. We work closely with all stakeholders in all mission areas to design and develop tailored web and mobile applications to facilitate and enhance processes through workflow automation, data warehousing, data analytics, and data visualization. The products we develop have propelled operational excellence in the department as well as beyond to reach institutional implementation, and have been showcased at national stages. We’re at the forefront and intersection of technology and operations through integrated partnerships with business stakeholders and disciplined and agile software development principles.
We are a small but effective team with full-stack development skills. We seek a Web Developer/Engineer to propel our developments to new levels of professional grades for internal and external audiences and to scale at the national level. We use a startup mindset to guide our work so that it’s innovative, impactful, important, and fun.
This position is eligible to work remotely from the actual work location as per the manager’s consent.
What you need for this position (RESPONSIBILITIES):
• A very strong front-end developer/designer
• Ability to write semantic HTML, Single page designs, mobile-rendered web pages
• Strong understanding of CSS/CSS3 and modern web design techniques
• Comfortable working with source control programs such as Git, BitBucket, etc
• Able to execute and expand upon on mock ups with great attention to detail
• Strong understanding of Nodejs, JavaScript, React, and jQuery
• Develop and deploy web applications and client-side web interface components that interact and integrate with external and internal web, authentication, and authorization infrastructures.
• Evaluate and implement new programming languages and technologies. Provide life-cycle management for software and code.
• Design and document data structures, architecture, and process flow for websites, web-based applications, and databases.
• Bonus points for a mobile experience
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
• Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
• 2+ years of relevant experience with Agile, Object Oriented modeling, web services, middleware, and database.
KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated significant experience developing web content management systems.
• Demonstrated significant experience in developing websites and web applications using open-source tools, languages, libraries, and current standards-compliant code.
• Demonstrated ability to write, code, test, debug and deploy software on UNIX-like platforms and web servers.
• Knowledge of web analytics tools and related analyses and implementation of web services.
• Ability to design and manage relational databases.
• Ability to interact positively with and build consensus among a diverse group of colleagues, clients, and senior leadership.
• Ability to understand and manage a greater web environment.
• Ability to design and integrate complex web enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with browser devices and platform differences and ability to develop workarounds to accommodate specialized user/client needs and device platforms.
