Overall Mandate:
To prepare bakery products for packaging and delivery while ensuring that the quality and quantity of the products is consistent in meeting the Company’s standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To assist and support all areas of the bakery production in the Commissary as per the direction of the Bakery Manager;
To assist in the ordering of department supplies and control the inventory level of product;
To assist the supervisor in the training and direction of part time staff;
Ensure proper equipment maintenance and operations;
To ensure the cleanliness, sanitation, and health and safety of the department meets with Company standards; and
Other duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:
Self- motivated & quick learner
Ability to follow set recipes
Work independently with ability to follow direction
Physical manual labour required
Must have excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Able to work in a fast paced, process driven, high volume production environment
Flexible to work a variety of shifts; mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
Education/Experience:
2-3 years’ experience with Baking, Food Preparation, and/or baking equipment an asset;
