FTT - Fiber and IP Networks
Key Responsibilities:
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair on customer circuits (IP/Ethernet) and core network equipment, with a focus on FTTx deployments.
• Multi-Vendor Environment: Work with a wide range of network equipment from leading vendors including Ciena, Cisco, Juniper, ADVA, Alcatel, Nokia, Infinera, and Fujitsu.
• Network Technologies: Manage and troubleshoot complex network technologies, including Routing (BGP, MPLS, ISIS), Switching (VLANs), and Fiber Networks (DWDM/SDH, Ethernet).
• Testing & Analysis: Conduct standard network tests (e.g., RFC 2544) and assist with fiber troubleshooting using OTDR with our field team.
• Documentation: Accurately document all work efforts, troubleshooting steps, and repair activities in our ticketing systems (Assure, Salesforce).
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service with clear, professional communication (written and verbal) in English.
What We're Looking For:
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in telecommunications, specifically with Ethernet and IP platforms.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of SONET, SDH, DWDM, and FTT (Fiber to the "X") networks.
• Work Environment: Prior experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) is highly preferred.
• Certifications: Professional certifications from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, or Nokia are a plus.
• Soft Skills: A proactive, individual contributor who can work with minimal supervision.
