GISurvey is an innovative location-based survey and data analytics platform specializing in community engagement and urban planning solutions. We empower city planners, real estate developers, and economic development organizations with geospatial insights to make smarter, data-driven decisions for growing communities.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and self-driven Full-Stack Developer to join our team on a contract basis. You will play a key role in developing and enhancing our GIS-powered survey platform, including front-end interfaces, back-end services, and geospatial data integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using modern frameworks.
Develop scalable back-end services, APIs, and databases to manage spatial and survey data.
Integrate GIS mapping tools (e.g., Leaflet, Mapbox, ArcGIS API) into the platform.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers and project managers to deliver high-quality features.
Ensure application performance, security, and cross-browser compatibility.
Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation.
Participate in agile development cycles, providing timely updates and feedback.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Developer.
Proficiency in JavaScript (React.js, Node.js).
Strong experience with RESTful APIs, Express.js, and MongoDB.
Hands-on experience with GIS mapping libraries (Leaflet, Mapbox, or similar).
Familiarity with spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS) is a strong plus.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an asset.
Strong understanding of responsive web design and performance optimization.
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Python (Flask, Django) for geospatial data handling.
Previous experience in urban planning, smart cities, or infrastructure mapping projects.
Familiarity with Figma or similar design collaboration tools.
