About this role:
Type: Internship / Voluntary side project (Unpaid)
Time commitment: 5 to 6 hrs a week
As a growing early-stage startup we are now looking for a Full Stack Developer (Intern) who has hands-on experience in React.js and Node.js to join our team. You will be working closely with our development team to build our ketch-Up web application, develop REST APIs and contribute to both frontend and backend projects. Having knowledge of Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions, Azure App Services, CosmosDB, etc.) will be a plus.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, test and maintain React.js frontend applications with modern UI/UX practices.
• Build and optimise Node.js/Express.js backend services and APIs.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and work with databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy new features.
• Assist in cloud-based development using Azure services (if applicable).
• Participate in code reviews, debugging and troubleshooting issues.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in full-stack development.
Skills you will need:
• Basic experience with React.js and Node.js (Express.js).
• Understanding of frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with database management (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL).
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and authentication methods (JWT, OAuth, etc.).
• Version control experience with Git/GitHub.
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
Bonus if you have, Knowledge of Azure cloud services such as Azure Functions, App Services, CosmosDB, or Storage Accounts.
