What will you do at Ciena?
Looking for a full stack developer with approximately 5+ years’ experience working in complex software environments. A successful candidate will put a strong emphasis on implementing high quality software based on clean code and a focus on continuous improvement.
Technical Environment
• Frontend: Angular 6+, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SVG, JSON, BPMN, d3.js, npm, gulp, Jasmine
• Application Tier: Java, Tomcat, Spring, Maven, Python, Gradle, Kafka, Camunda, Drools, Kafka, data structures
• Database: PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Oracle, Neo4j, MongoDB
• Platform: Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Git, Subversion, Jira, Jenkins, Team City
• Theory: Algorithms and data structures, OO, Functional, Declarative vs Imperative, Relational and Graph Database concepts
Primary Responsibilities
• Analysis, design, development, unit testing and technical documentation of new and existing software modules or features
• Implementing based on project plans and priorities
• Mentoring and support both within in the immediate team and in the wider Blue Planet organisation
• Independent working with strong collaboration within a global team
• Attending calls, presenting work, discussion with project stakeholders
