What You’ll Do
Product & Technology - Software Engineering & IT develops and maintains Telstra's software and IT systems, working on some really cutting-edge technologies.
Design and implement responsive user interfaces using modern front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (primarily React JS).
Develop server-side applications and RESTful APIs using back-end technologies such as Java and Spring Boot.
Integrate front-end and back-end components to create a seamless user experience.
Perform database design and development, including data modelling, queries, and optimization.
Ensure the application's performance, security, and scalability meet industry best practices and project requirements.
Test and debug web applications to identify and resolve issues.
Continuously improve and refactor code for better performance and maintainability.
Collaborate with DevOps engineers for smooth deployment and release processes.
Stay up to date with latest technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.
Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and mentor junior developers.
Organize and conduct showcases for product owners and stakeholders.
About You
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with more than 3+ years' experience and a strong portfolio.
Experience in Java 17+ and JavaScript.
Solid knowledge of back-end technologies like Java, Spring Boot, and databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Proficiency in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React 16 and above
Knowledge of accessibility tools and guidelines.
Working knowledge of JIRA.
Ability to fix SonarQube issues.
Experience in deploying code on the cloud
Ability to coordinate deployment activities.
Experience with Selenium and Postman (or other API testing tools).
Knowledge and experience of REST APIs and Apigee.
Knowledge of monitoring tools like Splunk, New Relic etc.
