Fullstack Developer (Java) - Chennai

Full Stack Developer at BASES in NielsenIQ is a technical oriented individual who can deliver on web based software projects. This role will require the individual to be very hands-on in developing software and also be able to guide the rest of the team. The individual will be required to manage the day-to-day activities of the team. This job will need effective communication with product managers and leadership across multiple geographies.
Responsibilities
Full Stack Software development of new single-page web applications and develop key system features.
Explore and evaluate new technologies to advance our SaaS platform and grow our business
Serve as a developer on teams that will execute projects from beginning to end, including working with product management, gathering requirements, brainstorming solutions, building final applications and testing.
Work closely with architects, and other teams to design and implement cross functional requirements
Participate in design and code reviews
Follow community best practices and team SDLC guidelines
Develop for scale and robustness leveraging the cloud and microservices
Analyze existing services and modules for potential risks and mitigations
Participate in Agile grooming and propose designs that solve business problems
Support business operations by helping resolve production issues as required
Mentor more junior engineers
Qualifications
3 to 7 years of software development / engineering experience
MS/BS in Software Engineering or related discipline
Experience with Full Stack Software Development and web application development.
Experience in Back End programming in Java, Groovy
Experience in User Interface programming with Javascript frameworks like Angular and Ember
Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL Server.
Experience with microservice development is a plus and with non-relational databases like MongoDB is a plus
Experience with IaaS & PaaS from a cloud vendor is a plus. Azure preferred.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
Familiarity with Agile process and passion for learning new technologies.
Expected competencies: Business domain knowledge, Business domain analysis, Technical design, In-team influencing ability, Cultivates initiative in teammates.
