The Data Architect will be expected to work closely with solution architects as well as domain architects. Provide direction to AFC&C teams and developers. Ensure models are integrated appropriately across AFC&C functions and transparent to stakeholders. Delivery of improvements to AFC&C Data Governance Framework including best practice suggestions where appropriate. Ensure data lineage, data models and functional aspects are captured accurately and appropriately within Data Management tooling. Hands on analysis where required to support analysts as appropriate. Mentor/Educate more junior/offshore team members. Delivery of Data Quality improvements through partnering with Source Systems of Record. Driving data sourcing delivery efficiencies through partnering with business analysts & development teams. Your skills and experience Well developed analysis skills, including ability to quickly understand requirement. System development life cycle: waterfall/agile. Experience of Data Modelling tools like Power designer. Excellent stakeholder and communication skills. Strong Database design and modelling skills. Experience in Data governance and able to model relationally or semi-structured. Exposure of BI tools such as Tableau. An understanding of architectural framework. Exposure to Cloud technologies.
