This role focuses on our Learn Ultra Platform, which provides students with a simple and intuitive learning experience that they can access anytime and anywhere. It’s a solution that’s continuously evolving to meet users’ needs, and we’re looking for someone to join the team and get deeply involved in the existing product code base, improving the quality, and enhancing the functionality of the product.
As Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for web application development and maintenance, and demonstrating expertise with Java, JavaScript, REST APIs, etc. You will be active in the agile team by participating in daily stand-ups, design sessions, code reviews, and sprint demos. You will embrace test development as an integral part of what you deliver as a software developer. You will also be responsible for delivering and maintaining cloud-based applications including troubleshooting, minimizing downtime, and quickly responding to client-reported issues.
The Candidate:
Required skills/qualifications:
• 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Experience developing single-page JavaScript applications and frameworks such as React, Redux, or Angular
• Knowledge of RESTful web services, authentication and access management protocols and products (SAML, OIDC, OAuth)
• Knowledge of Docker- and Kubernetes-based CI/CD lifecycles and pipelines
• Knowledge of large-scale, cloud environments; AWS; cloud-based solution implementation and maintenance
• Knowledge of domain driven design and service-oriented architecture
• Experience with test driven development
• Experience with API gateway technologies (Ambassador, Kong, or Gloo)
• Experience with container-based technologies (Istio, JenkinsX, or Fluentd)
• Experience with AWS services (Kubernetes, DynamoDB, CloudFront, Aurora)
• Experience with Java and common Java frameworks
• Experience with scripting languages (such as Python, Ruby, or Groovy)
• Proficient in common storage and messaging technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch)
The Office:
We have an office in one of the biggest cultural, economic, and educational centers in South India: Chennai.
• Located on OMR, the IT corridor of South Chennai
• Easy access to Velachery, Thiruvanmiyur Railway station and bus stop
• Very close to Tidel Park, Ascendas, and SRP Tools – Holiday Inn
• Office provides lunch Tuesday – Thursday and evening snacks Monday – Friday
• Office is situated behind Hotel Turyaa on the 5th floor of Rayala Techno Park
• Fun Committee, Happy Fete Team, Food Committee, and Sports Committee ensures fun at work
• ISR Team actively engages employees in contributing to various local charities
• Option for remote work during the COVID-1+ pandemic
