• Play the Technical Anchor role in JAVA technology guiding the development & developers, Using collaborating tools.
• Practice & guide software engineering excellence while developing web applications and tools from a backlog, employing pair programming and other practices.
• Work with application development teams and be a change agent.
• Help PDO teams adopt new ways of working and contribute to Ford's institutional knowledge.
• Advocate the use of Agile principles and other proven practices such as test-driven development (TDD)
• Become an experienced Technical Anchor that can mentor teams of software engineers on Agile ways of working, producing well-crafted code
Responsibilities
• Technical Anchor with Full-stack experience in guiding a team of software engineers.
• Experience developing and deploying to cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform & Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
• In depth knowledge of JAVA programming language & understanding of Object-Oriented Design Principles.
• Automated Testing experience (Unit, Integration, E2E)
• Delivered products that include web front-end development; JavaScript, client-side MVC frameworks like Angular, etc.
• Capable in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools and pipelines such as Gradle, Tekton etc.
• Some Exposure to SecOps tools like Check Marx, Fossa and SonarQube a plus.
• Experience with Spring/Spring Boot and RESTFUL Web services development
• Experience with machine learning, mathematical modelling and data analysis is a plus
• Knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL databases a plus
• Experience with CA Agile Central (Rally), backlogs, iterations, user stories, or similar Agile Tools Highly effective in working with other technical specialists, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers and business partners.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative when solving unexpected problems.
• Understanding of fundamental data modelling
• Experience in development of microservices & API Development
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 6+ years of Java and Spring Boot development experience.
• 3+ years' experience in Angular development.
• 1+ Years of knowledge of Github
• Object-oriented development languages, such as but not limited to:
• Java
• JavaScript
• TypeScript
• Python
• C#
