The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation, and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest operations hub. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore, and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all four business units in Hitachi Energy. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Your Responsibilities:
• Responsible for developing and supporting PLSQL database codes.
• Work with a global team to execute projects based on the customer’s timeline and priorities.
• Work with technical leads to develop/write software requirements and design specifications.
• Develop/unit test/integrate software needed to meet the design and functional requirements.
• Troubleshoot customer issues and fix software defects.
• Work on hybrid (traditional/agile) approach projects.

Your background:
• Bachelor's degree in BE or B.Tech in Computer Science.
• Should have 5+ years of experience.
• Basic understanding of CSB schema (entity tables, entity relationship tables, tables for interval and date-effective data).
• Experience developing PL/SQL for CSB—SQL tuning: Query performance tuning.
• Basic database administration experience.
• Should have software system development & electricity market experience.
• - Intermediate-level ability to write Oracle SQL queries (joins, aggregation, and conversion between and functions for date/number/character)
• Experience developing PL/SQL application functionality based on BA specifications, using industry-standard development practices
• Should have Oracle/PL SQL experience—software development best practices
• The entire Software Development Life Cycle: planning, tracking, design, development, successful implementation, testing, documentation, and installation
• Capable of adapting to changing situations and priorities.
• Experience working respectfully in a culturally diverse work environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with customers in Japanese.
