Key Responsibilities:

Timekeeping

• Manage employee timesheets and ensure compliance

• Maintain time and attendance records

Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Apply and reconcile customer payments

• Handle billing disputes and follow up on overdue invoices

• Prepare invoicing and AR reports

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Verify invoices and maintain vendor records

• Ensure timely processing of payments

• Support approval and authorization workflows

Invoicing & Billing

Relevant US accounting experience

• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting softwares : QUICKBOOKS

• Strong communication skills

• Willing to work night shifts

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Accountant to join our team in Mumbai. The successful candidate will handle day-to-day financial operations, preparing financial statements, managing invoicing, and maintaining bookkeeping records.

The role involves general accounting duties, analyzing financial data, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting to support organisational goals. You will also be responsible for assisting with external documentation, such as utilisation certificates for donors and reports for government partners subsidising our operations.

Additionally, you will work closely with vendors to maintain healthy inventory for our medical operations and facilities management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Expertise in preparing Financial Statements and general Accounting

• Worked on inventory and facilities management

• Strong Bookkeeping and Invoicing skills with TALLY and EXCEL expertise

• Excellent Analytical Skills for financial data interpretation and decision-making

• Proficient in accounting software and other financial tools

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Experience working in a non-profit or charity organisation is a plus

• Comfortable with animals and the environment of an animal shelter

• Ability to liaise with government officials, regulatory bodies, donors and vendors to maintain healthy operations
