Duties and responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Demonstrates knowledge of current procedures in the Aviation field.
Contributes to the development and maintenance of approved FAA aviation maintenance curricula and Atlanta Technical College and syllabi.
Knowledgeable about and committed to adhering to FAA regulations governing Part 147 schools.
Must be able to multitask and respond to deadlines in a timely manner.
Demonstrates ability to multitask and respond to deadlines in a timely manner.
Must be able to use appropriate teaching techniques to engage groups of students in different activities simultaneously.
Demonstrates ability to apply appropriate testing and grading procedures, including proper maintenance of grade books and any other appropriate record-keeping.
Demonstrates ability to monitor students’ use of supplies, materials, and equipment.
Advise and counsel students and maintain appropriate advisement records on each student.
Attend meetings as required and appropriate.
Observe and enforce FAA compliance requirements for approved programs.
Assists with student recruitment and job placement as requested by supervisor.
Serves on committees as requested by supervisors.
Maintains qualifications for employment as described by the Technical College System of Georgia Policy Manual and accreditation standards.
Follows rules and regulations as described by the Technical College System of Georgia Policy Manual and other policies and procedures established by the institution; and
Performs additional duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess and demonstrate the following:
· Technical Diploma in a related field from an accredited college or university.
· Must be A & P certified.
· Three (3) or more years of experience as an A & P mechanic.
· Must also be able to instruct students and handle administrative responsibilities related to the position.
