Job description

• Education: No degree, certificate or diploma

• Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units

• Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand

• Package take-out food

Position Overview:

We are looking for an Experienced Line Cook with 2–4 years of professional kitchen experience, ideally in high-volume or fast-paced environments. This is a full-time position with leadership potential, ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their culinary career. The position primarily focuses on our weekday take-out operating between 12pm-8pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Line Cooking: Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes with consistency, speed, and presentation quality.

• Inventory Management: Track stock levels, rotate inventory, manage waste, and communicate supply needs proactively.

• Order Execution: Accurately take and prepare orders under pressure while maintaining high food standards.

• Kitchen Efficiency: Help lead the flow of kitchen operations during busy times, ensuring smooth service and timely output.

• Prep Work: Prepare ingredients and assist in batch cooking and pre-service setup.

• Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain cleanliness of workstations and follow food safety guidelines at all times.

• Team Support: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and support junior team members where needed.

Who You Are:

• Experienced: 2–4 years working in a professional kitchen (line cook or similar), with solid knife skills and station management.

• Organized & Accountable: Detail-oriented with a knack for keeping kitchen operations efficient and inventory under control.

• Driven: Hungry to learn, take initiative, and grow into greater responsibility (e.g., team lead, kitchen supervisor).

• Adaptable: Calm under pressure and thrives in fast-paced environments.

• Strong Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and always ready to help.

• Team-Oriented: Values collaboration, open communication, and team success.

• Physically Capable: Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs when needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing or helping manage inventory systems.

• Prior catering, banquet, or high-volume cooking experience.

• Interest in long-term growth and leadership roles.
