Description
We are looking for an organized and creative videographer to work with our creative team to plan, film, and edit video content according to client briefs. The videographer's responsibilities include ensuring that the necessary filming equipment is available for use, directing other camera operators on set, and editing film footage.
To be successful as a videographer you must be able to understand client briefs and work creatively to produce the desired product. A good videographer should stay up to date with industry trends and tools that will make projects more marketable.
Responsibilities
• Planning and filming live events, short films and ad shoots
• Ensuring all filming equipment is ready and in proper working order
• Directing and assigning tasks to Camera Operators and Lighting Technicians
• Undertaking minor editing of film footage in the case of smaller productions
• Understanding client briefs, offering creative feedback and providing an estimated filming budget
• Discussing ideas with the Creative team before filming
• Coordinating and assisting Wedding Videographers and small production houses in filming bridal shoots, promotional campaign videos, wedding videos, etc.
• Ensuring filming in proper lighting and audio clarity with perfect lens choice
• Providing creative direction when inserting captions, graphics, special effects and video texts, especially for advertising products
• Contacting and negotiating with suppliers for equipment, products and services
• Troubleshooting minor technical issues with the video camera
• Ensuring consistency in filming from start to finish
• Cleaning and disassembling hardware such as tripod, lighting and gimbal
• Maintaining and updating equipment inventory
• Compiling training videos that juniors could refer
Requirements
• A certificate course in Videography or Cinematography is preferred
• Proficiency in video editing software like Lumen5, Final Cut Pro and Nero Video
• Familiarity with different cameras like digital cameras, professional-grade cameras and digital camcorders
• Excellent computer skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of different motion picture techniques
• Physically fit and having an eye for detail
• Basic knowledge of production modes like doing a single camera setup and adjusting the camera’s white balance
• Ability to work in a team
• Excellent analytical skills
