We are currently seeking a FULL-TIME Warehouse Associate that will work at our Calgary warehouse from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Hardy Sales is a local, family-owned and operated wholesale food distribution company since 1982.

This position is responsible for operating industrial vehicles and warehouse equipment to distribute our products via picking, loading, and inventory replenishment in a safe and clean manner. This role is designed to grow with you—depending on your experience and how quickly you learn, you’ll have the opportunity to take on higher-level responsibilities and transition into a Lead Hand role.
Job Description:
This position is primarily Warehouse Associate role and reports directly to the Warehouse Manager. A Warehouse Associate will be required to perform the day to day tasks outlined and assigned as per training including but not limited to:
Shipping
Receiving
Order Selection
Pallet put away
Inventory maintenance
Cleaning
SFCR and company policy compliance
In addition, show abilities to progress to the following tasks:
Process returns to inventory.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or labelling issues, reporting any losses or damages.
Show an aptitude to:
Coordinate daily tasks, including receiving, storing, and shipping of cold storage inventory.
Monitor workflow and productivity, addressing any operational issues.
Train, coach, and support team members to maintain efficient performance.
Ensure all safety, quality, and food handling standards are met.
Communicate effectively with supervisor, drivers, and other departments.
On-going responsibilities:
We promote an atmosphere at which helping and supporting others within the company is encouraged. Tasks are fluid and our goal is to work together daily to ensure all clients orders are satisfactorily filled and shipped on time and accurately. Having a small work force we stress the importance of maintaining one’s attendance and being on time for shifts.
Job Requirements:
Completion of secondary school.
Experience working in a HACCP regulated facility would be an asset but not necessary.
Trained in operation of electric ride on pallet jack, narrow aisle reach truck, & stand-up counter balance forklift.
Must be available to work in freezer and refrigerated climate (-25C freezer; 3-4C cooler).
Must be able to lift weighted product on daily basis (weight can range up to 40kg)
Must be available to work overtime, as required.
Good communication skills in English.
Valid driver’s license would be an asset but not necessary.
