We’re looking for a java developer to:
• join a software development team to produce high quality applications
• analyze and understand business and technical stories, writing code, implementing automated tests, contributing to release and iteration planning and developing the working practices of the team
• complete the unit testing of components for integration into larger subsystems
• support the business in resolving high-priority defects and deploying fixes to production systems
• make sure that produced code is secure, stable and operational before and after being released to production
Your team
You’ll be working in the Research Author Delivery team in Pune. Our role is to develop research content applications used by our Global Research staff across the Investment Bank. You'll be working in a global team, with colleagues in the United Kingdom, the United States and India. As a Java developer, you'll play a key role in all facets of the application development.
Your expertise
• ideally 4+ years of experience as Java, Frontend Developer focusing on Spring, Spring Boot, Java 8, HTML, JavaScript, CSS technologies.
• any exposure to Unix/Linux, database- Sql, PostgreSQL, Versant, Xml, Xsl, Cloud is an added advantage.
• experience in application architecture and development, including analyzing stories, writing code, implementing automated tests, contributing to improvement to platform architecture with new ideas.
• strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure stuff out)
• able to produce secure, stable and good performing code and provide review comments.
• a conceptual understanding of software development including the full project lifecycle from working on multiple substantial projects using Agile development methodologies.
• curious and collaborative, comfortable working independently, as well as in a global team
• the go-to person for the latest development innovation
• imaginative and creative with emerging technologies and an ambassador for test and behavior-driven development
• adaptable, able to work across teams and functions
• a strong communicator – able to interface with key business and technology stakeholders
