Here’s what we are looking for,
We are looking for a skilled web developer who will be responsible for developing and/or designing
websites for our company. You will be working alongside a team of other developers in creating,
maintaining, and updating our websites.
Responsibilities:
• Writing efficient code
• Creating websites/a website using standard HTML/CSS practices
• Constant communication with other colleagues in the business to develop and deploy them
content – and ensuring there is a clear establishment of what can be created within what timeframe
• Implementing contingency plans in case the website goes down
• Maintaining and expanding/enhancing the website once built
• Managing a team might also be part of the job role
Requirements
• HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Server architecture
• Understanding of web technologies - strong command of HTML5 JavaScript, PHP, Bootstrap,
MySQL, Linux, Apache, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, firewalls (functionality
and maintenance)
• Knowledge on Web 2.0 design standards.
• Experience in responsive web designing and rich internet applications.
• Experience in developing interactive web applications.
Soft Skills:
• Has worked on responsive sites, using bootstrap or similar framework.
• Innovative approach in problem solving and finding optimal solutions.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal, formal and informal).
• Proactive / self-motivated working style with ownership in work.
• Deep interest and passion for technology.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize when under pressure.
• In depth knowledge of WordPress - developing themes, child themes and related functionality
for a WordPress multisite network.
A Bachelor’s degree in the following subjects should be included:
• Computer Science
• Computing
• Thorough functional knowledge and coding experience
• Ability to multitask with strict time constraints, budgets, and business goals
