We are seeking a qualified Electrical Contractor Licence (ECL) holder to join our established and growing
solar energy installation business as an equity partner. This opportunity is specifically structured for an ECL
holder who wants ownership-level income without the burden of day-to-day site work, staffing, or operational
management.
By holding an ECL in the company’s name (or obtaining one), the incoming partner enables access to
Australia’s Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES), including Small-scale Technology Certificates
(STCs), and allows us to operate more efficiently with in-house finance options and streamlined compliance.

ECL Partner Role: The ECL holder provides company-level licensing and performs high-level oversight by
reviewing completed job documentation (compliance certificates, EWRs, connection paperwork) before final
job close-off. Training typically takes 1–2 days.
Compliance, Liability & Risk Management
Risk exposure for the ECL holder is intentionally minimised through the use of licensed subcontractors who
remain responsible for workmanship, installation quality, and rectification obligations.
Subcontractors lodge and sign all Electrical Work Requests (EWRs) and compliance certificates.
Subcontractors carry their own public liability and professional insurance.• The company coordinates any remedial works through the original installer if required.
The ECL holder is not required to attend sites or manage installers directly.
