About The Role:
Gather by Cater Care is proud to partner with one of the region’s most prestigious schools to deliver high-quality food and event services in Peppermint Grove, WA. We’re seeking an experienced Functions Supervisor to lead and coordinate functions across the campus on a permanent basis.
In this role, you will manage events of all sizes, from small meetings to large formal functions - overseeing production, rostering, setup, and pack-down. As a key client-facing professional, you’ll work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure every event runs seamlessly and is delivered to the highest standard.
Roster: Flexible based on functions (40 hrs/week)
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee catering services for events, from casual teas to formal dinners
Develop strong client relationships with all stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution
Plan, lead and develop the team to ensure successful events
Ensure food and service meet school standards and dietary needs
Address any issues during events to guarantee a positive experience
Maintaining budgetary controls to ensure financial objectives are met
Skills and Experiences:
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Proven experience leading teams and coordinating large-scale events
Strong ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
Excellent communication, organisational, and customer service skills
Significant experience in the hospitality sector
Demonstrated capability to train, roster, and manage staff effectively
Confidence using function software systems
Hands-on experience overseeing function setup, service, and pack-down
