Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Fund Development and Special Events Assistant to support our organization's fundraising efforts and special events. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Duties
Fund Development Support
Assist with planning and implementing donor campaigns (e.g., annual appeal, Giving Tuesday)
Maintain donor database, ensuring accurate and timely data entry and acknowledgment letters
Research prospective donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities
Prepare donor materials, including thank-you letters, newsletters, and reports
Track and report on fundraising progress
Special Events Coordination
Support the planning and execution of fundraising and community events (e.g., annual fundraiser, family nights, annual backpack and school supply drive).
Coordinate logistics including venue setup, vendor communications, invitations, and registration
Help recruit and manage event volunteers
Assist with event promotion, including email campaigns, social media, and printed materials
Qualifications
Passion for nonprofit work and the mission of LEARN Resource Center
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable with spreadsheets and online tools
Event planning experience a plus
Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for events

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
